Baskets with flowers made from ribbons, country of craftsmen. Master class: decorating a kanzashi Easter basket

Wedding- a special solemn moment in everyone’s life, so you want to carefully prepare and make this day unforgettable. The newlyweds' table is necessarily decorated with all kinds of flowers. This master class describes how to create a basket with bright scarlet and delicate white roses from satin ribbons.

To create a basket of roses you will need:

  • basket with a diameter of 15 cm;
  • several newspapers;
  • satin ribbons 5 cm wide in white and scarlet;
  • toothpicks;
  • heating gun and glue sticks;
  • silvery petals, they are sold on high branches;
  • white thin ribbon (1 cm) for braiding the handle;
  • red rhinestones, two of them in the shape of hearts.

At the first stage, we begin to twist roses from satin ribbons. To decorate such a small basket you will need 7 flowers - 3 white roses and 4 scarlet ones. For each kanzashi flower Exactly a meter of satin ribbon is wasted, so the ribbons need to be divided into meter sections.

Place the satin piece on a flat surface, wrong side up. Fold the edge at an angle and begin twisting inward.

After two twists, glue the bottom of the tape and secure the bud.

Constantly bend the tape upward, while moving your hand away from you.

Form layers of petals around the bud; every 2 cm you need to apply a drop of glue and fix the tape to the previous tier.

You need to glue the layers of petals evenly, at the same distance, to get a symmetrical rose.

The edge of the tape must be glued to the back side of the scarlet flower.

When all the roses are curled, turn the flowers over.

Glue toothpicks into the center of the remaining edge of the tape.

They will act as a peduncle and fastening.

An important step is decorating the basket handle. Wrap a thin ribbon around the handle, the distance between rounds should be about 1 cm.

At the next stage, we roll the newspapers into a tight bundle. Each layer must be crushed and then “swaddled” in the next newspaper.

Place the paper in the basket and press down on top so that the sheets fit snugly into the basket.

Carefully stick the created roses into the layers of newspaper; if a toothpick cannot penetrate the thick paper layer, then first make holes with a thin knife.

First, decorate the middle of the basket with snow-white roses.

Then add a little passion to the bouquet.

Four scarlet roses decorate edges of the composition and should fall slightly over the edge of the basket.

When the flowers are distributed over the top of the basket, insert silver petals between the outer flowers and secure them with glue.

The edges of the roses are also glued together, otherwise they may lift up, and then the gap from the newspapers will be visible.

At the last stage, decorate the handle with red rhinestones.

Two scarlet hearts are glued onto snow-white roses.

  • rhinestone tire or thread of bright blue color;
  • magnet;
  • high-quality Chinese foamiran (11 mm) in two colors: blue and white - small pieces to make a bow according to the template + the middle of a blue half-bead with a diameter of 8 mm - for the same bow;
  • large plastic or wooden ladybug;
  • for making roses: 25 pieces of satin ribbon in soft pink, pink and hot pink colors - 2.5 * 6 cm;
  • 15 pieces of green satin ribbon - 2.5*10 cm (the lower part of the buds will consist of 5 petals on each rose), it is possible to use other petals to fill the voids,
  • glue gun

What is the value of the offered basket:

1. This is not just a craft, but a unique gift for any woman on March 8 or another holiday.
2. The specimen is decorated with delicate, popular flowers that absolutely all women like.
3. Having made it, you will learn how to model beautiful rose buds. This knowledge will be useful for carrying out holiday celebrations.

Basket with kanzashi roses step by step

1. Since the article is about a magnet, such a product must be flat. But we will only make the base flat - the basket itself, and the roses, of course, will be lush and believable. Cut out a basket template that interests you; it can be any shape. Find out the sizes yourself.

2. Cut out 3 baskets of the same shape: 1 from cardboard, 2 from felt. Glue the 3 parts together so that the cardboard remains inside and is not visible. Run a strip of tire along the edge of the composition, singeing the protruding threads.

3. Cut out a paper template for a beautiful bow. Using it, make the main blanks from foamiran. It is better not to draw on foamiran with a pen; they usually draw on the foam surface with the tip of a toothpick.

4. Glue the bow together. It should be voluminous. Glue it at the top of the basket handle, moving it to the side from the center.

5. Now you can move on to the most delicate part of the work - creating rose petals. Singe the prepared pieces of satin in soft pink, pink and hot pink colors.

6. Now look at photo 6 to see how you can model the petals of the desired format.

7. Make 25 petals from pieces of ribbon of each color. Do not mix the petals together, let them be spread out in front of you in portions.

8. Make pointed petals for the bottom of the buds using green satin ribbon. Bend the pieces in half, cut with hot metal and open.

9. How to make a rosebud from a satin ribbon. Start twisting the prepared piles of petals into buds, fastening them with a glue gun.

10. Each rose will require 25 parts, so they will turn out very lush and beautiful.

11. Select pointed leaves from all the double green parts and glue 5 pieces to the bottom of each bud. The sharp tips should barely peek out from under the delicate petals.

12. Glue the flower arrangement onto the basket.

13. Add a couple more highlights that will not interfere with the overall appearance of the composition, but, on the contrary, will decorate it. To do this, you can use a half bead on a bow and a bug.

It is difficult to imagine any celebration without flowers. Compositions of various variations allow you to decorate the hall during the holiday and give a great mood. Beautifully decorated baskets can be an excellent gift for any occasion or without. And what scope of imagination gives you the opportunity to try yourself as a florist and designer. You can even please yourself, at least every week, if you know how to decorate a basket with flowers from ribbons with your own hands. When making such compositions, a sense of style, artistic taste and a great desire to learn something new are required. In this article we will look at different ideas and variations that you can easily bring to life.

Everything new is well forgotten old

Such baskets, made with your own hands, will seem like a newfangled handmade product to young girls. But our mothers and grandmothers know that these things come from the Soviet past. When you wanted to create coziness, but stores could only offer stamped tea sets and crystal for a sideboard. This art was passed on from mouth to mouth, from hand to hand, and was supplemented with its own original ideas and ideas. Now we have several ways to create such handmade masterpieces.

DIY basket from a box

The first method, which we will consider, uses a plastic toothpowder box. But you are unlikely to find such a rarity in modern household chemical stores. Therefore, it can be replaced with any other box or flat jar made of thin plastic, or even with a piece of polystyrene foam. The main thing is that the material is soft and can be pierced.

Materials for work

So, to create a basket of ribbons with your own hands you will need:

  • Ribbon for basket. You will need a lot of it - about 10 meters. It is better to take material 1.2-1.5 cm wide.
  • Wire - choose not soft wire, but one that you can bend. 35 cm should be enough for you.
  • Plastic toothpowder box or polystyrene foam.
  • Regular tailor's pins with a loop at the end.
  • Pliers or wire cutters.
  • Compass.
  • Marker.

Preparing the base

If you took foam plastic as a basis, then first you need to give it a shape. This is done with a sharp knife, but very carefully so that there are no sharp corners or irregularities. Otherwise, our basket will be of a strange shape. Next, when the base is ready, we follow this plan:

  1. Using a compass from the top of the base, we make markings for the pins. It should exactly follow the shape of your future basket - this is an important point, and be 0.5 cm from the edge.
  2. We make exactly the same markings, trying to align the upper and lower points, on the bottom at a distance of 1 cm from the edge.
  3. In a circle, at a distance of about 0.5 cm from each other, we stick pins into the base. They should go in to a depth of 1 cm.
  4. We repeat the same thing on the bottom side.

Important! Please note: below, where the base of the basket will be, we retreat a little more from the edge. This way our product will look more realistic.

Basket weaving

Now we start working with the ribbons to create a beautiful wrap for our basket. At this stage, accuracy and concentration are very important. The ability to weave macrame will also come in handy:

  1. We bend one edge of the tape in half lengthwise and secure it with a pin.
  2. We draw the ribbon down, put it on the bottom pin, folding it in half lengthwise, then bring it up.
  3. We put it on the top pin again, and so, like a snake, we continue to braid the base over its entire surface.
  4. Make sure that the fold of the tape is directed in one direction. Every time we do something like a figure eight.
  5. Once you finish braiding the side part without cutting the ribbon, start wrapping it around the pins at the top.
  6. The weave between the needles goes from left to right, making a revolution around one pin. Pass the tape and tighten it from the inside.
  7. To give the edges of the basket a finished look, you should braid the pins in three layers. The needles should not be visible at all.
  8. We cut the ribbon and secure its tip inside the future basket with a pin.
  9. We adjust all the pins so that they are the same height and located in a circle.

Cart handle

Using wire cutters, applying considerable force, we bend the wire - the base of our future handle and begin to braid it with the same ribbon that was used to decorate the basket:

  1. Bend the right end of the tape in a semicircle and place it on top of the wire.
  2. We lower the left one down, passing it over the right ribbon, and pull it from behind into the resulting loop to the right of the wire. Tighten the knot. We repeat this many times.
  3. If everything is done correctly, we should end up with a “spiral” of knots.
  4. We tie the ribbon with a bow and cut it. The ends of the ribbon need to be melted with a lighter or candle fire so that they do not unravel.
  5. We attach the handle symmetrically to the basket, clamping the “ears” with pliers. We tie a ribbon to the ears and make bows.

Important! There is another simpler option on how to make a beautiful pen. Carefully wrap the blank of our future handle in a spiral from top to bottom and attach it to the base. It will look no worse than wicker.

Soap based basket

If you want your DIY satin ribbon basket to be not only beautiful, but to exude a pleasant aroma, then use an oval-shaped bar of soap as a base. The basket will be smaller, but a pleasant smell will appear in the room where it will be located.

When choosing this method, there are a couple of things to know:

  • It is better to apply markings for pins not on the soap itself, but on a piece of paper that will follow the shape.
  • If the ribbons slip when braiding the side part, you can slightly moisten them and lay them as needed. Once dry, the tape will not move.

Basket in an original braid of baubles

This method is often used in elementary school during labor lessons. Develops fine motor skills well, resulting in excellent gifts for mothers. It follows from this that this method is one of the easiest.

Materials for work

We will need:

  • 2 satin ribbons, 1 cm wide and 6 meters long each. It’s better to take contrasting colors - it will be more effective in the end and easier in the process. Let's take blue and yellow as an example.
  • Thick cardboard in the color of one of the ribbons.
  • A box of ordinary instant noodles.
  • Scissors.
  • Glue.

Step-by-step master class

When starting work, remember how you wove baubles as a teenager. If your memory serves you well, you will quickly master this technique:

  • Taking one end, bend the ribbon 10 cm, forming a loop. Do the same with the other piece and place the strips on top of each other.
  • Now we bend the top blue loop, as if tying a knot. Let's go full circle. The loop returned to its place, but became small.
  • Then we take the yellow loop and pass it through the small blue one. Pull the short end of the blue loop, but do not tighten too much.
  • Make a loop out of the blue ribbon and pass it through the yellow loop. Tighten the yellow loop a little.
  • Then make a loop out of the yellow ribbon, thread it through the blue loop, and tighten the blue one.
  • Thus we continue to weave loop into loop.

Important! Make sure the squares are even. You can’t tighten it too much, but you don’t need to leave it too weak either.

  • Continue weaving the bauble until its length is equal to the circumference of the workpiece. As soon as we reach the desired size, carefully tighten the tapes together and cut off the excess.
  • In order to cover the entire box, we will need several tapes. The longest bauble will go on the top part, and the shortest one on the bottom. Another strip will go to the handle. Glue it to a strip of cardboard and secure it to the sides.

The original basket is ready!

A few secrets that will be useful when creating baubles:

  • When weaving, the loops do not need to be tightened too much. They should be a little loose, then you will achieve beautiful symmetry.
  • If you didn’t manage to weave a beautiful bauble the first time, don’t rush to throw away the materials. Just unravel the strip and start again.
  • If the ribbons slip out during operation and the loop falls apart, secure them with a pin. Once you gain experience, everything will work out just fine.
  • Having finished the work, the rest of the tape can be tied into a knot, or left free. It's up to you to choose.

Basket decoration

As you have already seen, a DIY basket of satin ribbons is not such a difficult task. Once you implement at least one of these options, you won’t be able to stop. You will want to complete the composition by adding flowers, ribbons, and large beads to it. This is where a master class on creating beautiful roses from ribbons will come in handy.

Roses made of satin ribbons

For creativity we will need:

  • Satin ribbon 4 cm wide in white and red colors.
  • Several sheets of newspaper.
  • Glue gun or glue with a fine tip.
  • The most common toothpicks.

First, let's prepare the ribbons. Our bouquet for a small basket will contain 15 roses - 9 red and 6 white. Each flower will take 1 meter in length. Then we perform the following steps:

  1. We take the tape and bend its edge at an acute angle.
  2. We make two tight turns - this will be the core of our rose.
  3. We fix each turn with a small drop of glue at the base.
  4. Bend the tape away from you. The working part of the tape should not be lower than the bud itself.
  5. We twist the ribbon away from us and begin to form a rose flower. It is important to respect the shape of the flower here. It should not be convex or sunken.
  6. Having made the required number of turns, turn the rose over and cut off the excess edge of the tape, scorching it with fire.
  7. Without turning the bud over, glue a toothpick into the middle of the flower.

Now you need to prepare the cart:

  1. We fold several sheets of newspaper into a ball the size of a basket, and fill the inner space flush with the edges.
  2. People are already so fed up with stamps that things made with their own hands are again especially valued. They are not like standard store souvenirs, sometimes of very questionable quality. These DIY ribbon baskets are inimitable and unique. They retain the warmth of the master’s hands and his individuality. Both your mother and a close friend will be happy with such a gift, which will decorate any interior. And at work, such a composition will lift the spirits of the entire team. Happy creative ideas!

A quick way to create an original basket for the holiday table in honor of Easter! Now serving “krashenki” will be doubly pleasant, and guests will definitely remember such a gift for a long time.

To make a small basket with your own hands, prepare the following materials:
plastic container with a volume of 300 ml;
7 meters of wide satin ribbon (2 cm wide);
4 meters of satin ribbon of a similar shade, but slightly worse (width from 0.8 cm to 1 cm);
a strip of any cardboard, 40 cm long (this can be either a solid sheet of colored cardboard or scraps of any packaging container);
dense fabric for processing the bottom;
universal polymer glue;
scissors;
a sewing needle and, accordingly, threads of the required tones;
2-3 types of colored ribbons for creating small additional elements.

Before starting work, first prepare the base for the basket. To do this, carefully cut out the bottom and get rid of the hollow top margins (if any).

Next, wrap the middle part with tape, placing each new strip tightly on top of the previous one.

Try to move in equal steps so that the distance from one edge of the tape to the other is always the same. At the end of the winding, sew the cut edge of the tape using a needle and thread (it is better to sew inside).

Now you can start covering the bottom. Fabric, as well as an ordinary needle and thread, will help us with this.

Cut a round piece from the fabric with a small seam allowance, which you then sew along with the plastic bottom along the entire circumference.

Then mask this outer seam with tape attached to polymer adhesive.

There is no need to glue the bottom for a long time or somehow strengthen it. It is enough to simply insert it inside and enjoy the completed stage of work, because now only a little remains.

Cut a 2-3 cm strip of cardboard, tighten it tightly with a wide ribbon and sew along the center of its edge.

After this, sew the finished handle to the bottom of the basket with the seam facing out. And now the basket is ready.

All you have to do is decorate it and you can safely show it to the public. To do this, take a narrow ribbon and sew along it with even stitches. The thread needs to be pulled a little so that the ribbon begins to look like ruffles.

Next, carefully sew these ruffles along the entire perimeter of the top edge and trim off the excess.

Use the rest of the tape to hide the seam on the handle, gluing it with polymer glue.

A bright bow on the handle, which can be tied from any thin braid, will look nice. The bow will also help to “outline” the front side of the product, which will make it more solemn and ceremonial.

Now you need to fill the basket with “greens” (you can use fabric, faux fur, “Grass” knitting yarn and even natural dried moss). On a green background, paints look very natural and natural.
