To work you will need:

Place a drop of glue on the end of the tape and press the tape to the rim. Carefully apply glue along the outer surface of the rim. Next, I wrap the rim with tape at an angle, trying not to “climb” onto the previous moment.

At the end of the rim, carefully glue the tape inside. We cut off the end. After wrapping the ribbon around the headband, press it on top with a clothespin and leave it like that for 1 hour. We need to decorate the headband with a silk or grosgrain ribbon, and then make a flower or flowers for it. The easiest way to braid a kanzashi-style headband is to use double-sided tape. The decorative ribbon should be the same size as the headband. We will only decorate the outer side of the rim so as not to remove the internal spikes.

To work you need:

Glue gun or Moment glue.
Lighter.
Scissors.

Cut 2 small (1/1.5 cm) pieces of tape and cover the edges of the rim with them. Use a lighter to smooth and glue the edges. We process the other end of the rim in the same way. We bend the remaining ribbon in half.

We clamp the edge of the tape with tweezers or scissors and singe it at an angle with a lighter. Look at the photo: this triangle needs to be removed with a lighter.

We fix the tape with glue on the rim. We got it like this: 2 ribbons lie on top of each other. Take the bottom ribbon and guide it under the top one. The top tape is directed behind the rim, where it connects with the top one. Again 2 ribbons on top of each other.

Then again: the lower ribbon is directed under the upper one, and the upper one is sent behind the rim, they should connect again. And so we continue our weaving, pulling the ribbons. Cut out a circle with a diameter of 2.5-3 cm from a square blank. Fold the circle several times and find its center. Mark with a pen. We begin to make a rose on the cone. We take the end of the tape, bend the cut edge inward so that the fabric does not fall out (you can burn it with a lighter), and fix the square on the base (Fig. 6). Where the crosses are drawn, you need to secure the square in the corners with a needle and thread. Then, we place the tail of the tape on the square and bend the edge (Fig. 7) along the dotted line. Then we sew the corner (Fig. 8).

Then we again apply the tape to the finished element and bend it along the dotted line (Fig. 9). We sew 2 corners in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 10), 2 more corners (Fig. 11), and 2 more: it is shown how best to hold the needle (Fig. 12).

We continue to work in the same way until the tape runs out.

Step-by-step master class on how to make a kanzashi hoop

To create a hair hoop, we will need to create triple kanzashi petals and single petals. Let's start. From satin ribbons in white and black colors, 5 cm wide, you need to cut 24 squares of each color. We also cut out 24 squares measuring 5 by 5 cm from brocade.

Let's start creating a three-layer kanzashi petal. To begin, we make triangles out of squares like the ones in the photo above. We secure the corners with a lighter.

We assemble three parts into one as in the photo below. The black triangle should be at the bottom, then place the silver and white ones in sequence. Don't forget that each part should be mixed by 1mm. down.

Using tweezers, hold the corners straight and form a petal for the kanzashi flower. Next, you need to connect the free ends and get a small triangle. We get a triple petal as in the photo.

We treat all corners with a lighter and glue them with glue.

We carefully cut off the remaining material from the bottom using scissors. It is also necessary to singe the edges with a lighter.

We make 24 petals like this. Make sure they are all the same. To create the main flower and its lower tier, we will need 8 sharp triple kanzashi petals.

To create the top tier we will also need 8 petals. To start, make 8 squares measuring 4 cm by 4 cm.

Fold the white square in half to form a triangle. Then fold the large triangle again to form a small triangle. Using a lighter, connect the ends of the future flower.

You should end up with 8 of these same-color sharp petals.

Using glue or thread and a needle, collect the first white flower.

We do the same with a large three-layer flower. He will go on the lower tier.

Now let's pay attention to the hoop itself. We cut 2 meters from the thinnest white and black ribbons. We sew small loops on each satin ribbon, as shown in the photo below.

We insert the white ribbon into the black loop, as in the photo below. After this we stretch the white ribbon to the end.

We do the same with the white ribbon. We need to alternate the entire tape like this.
