Natural face masks: homemade or ready-made products. A miracle mask, which is impregnated with accessible and simple ingredients. Moisturizing mask with mineral water.

Natural masks are probably the very first cosmetic products tested by man. The fashion for them has experienced ups and downs, but today these beauty products are at the peak of popularity.

All-natural has become a trend, and this is encouraging manufacturers to create formulas based on ingredients of natural origin. And beauty users take grandmother’s recipes from family archives and prepare masks themselves, supplementing them with new fashionable ingredients.

Features of the composition

Natural ingredients include not only gifts of nature that can be plucked from a tree or garden bed, but also many other ingredients.

Types of natural masks

Rules for using masks at home

Everything is not as simple as it might seem at first glance.

Preparation

Cleanse your skin of makeup and wash with foam or gel. Dry your face with a towel or disposable napkin. The effectiveness of the mask will be higher if you first steam the skin by covering your face with a warm towel for a couple of minutes. Or apply the mask immediately after a shower, while the pores are open.

Rules for applying a mask

Masks are applied with hands or a brush. The main thing is that both are clean. Usually the lip area and skin around the eyes are not affected, but there are exceptions. If the texture and density of the mask allow, distribute it in a thick layer.

How long to keep

Homemade masks last for 15–20 minutes or until dry. Do not over-expose the mask, otherwise you risk experiencing a feeling of tightness and burning.

How to wash off a mask correctly

The masks are removed with a damp sponge or a towel soaked in warm water along the massage lines. Then you need to rinse your face with cool water.

Care after the mask

Using your usual cream is a must after any mask.

How often can masks be used?

Masks are usually done 1-2 times a week, and moisturizers can be applied every day.

Which mask to choose: homemade or purchased

Homemade Purchased
compound Not every potentially beneficial component will appeal to the skin, and there are not many proven ingredients. The manufacturer uses a wide variety of components, including exotic ones that cannot be purchased in our latitudes.
Efficiency

The effect cannot be compared with ready-made masks, and safety remains a big question.

Ready-made formulas use plant extracts and extracts, vitamins obtained from fruits, and acids in working dosages. And that's it.
Expert opinion Ekaterina Turubara, Vichy: “If the finished products are marked “hypoallergenic”, you can be sure that the mask will not cause a negative skin reaction. But no one knows how it will react to acids from “live” berries and fruits.”
Convenience Homemade masks get dirty quite often, especially if they consist of berries and spices rich in pigments. And it's inconvenient. Using ready-made products is not only convenient, but also pleasant: texture, smell, color - the manufacturer carefully considers all these characteristics.

Natural face mask for acne (for problem skin)

Action: cleanses pores, soothes the skin and prevents the appearance of new imperfections.

Ingredients:

    1 tbsp. l. kaolin;

    1–2 tbsp. l. mineral water;

    1 tbsp. l. oatmeal or oatmeal crushed in a blender;

    1 tsp. honey;

    3-4 drops of tea tree oil.

  1. 1

    mix dry ingredients;

  2. 2

    dilute with water to form a paste;

  3. 3

    add honey and stir;

  4. 4

    add essential oil;

  5. 5

    Apply to face, avoiding eye contour, for 10–15 minutes.

Editorial opinion. It’s good that oatmeal and honey soften the effect of the clay, which dries the skin great, drawing out dirt from the pores. Tea tree oil works as an antiseptic and soothing. But we still vote for a ready-made clay-based mask, developed by professionals specifically for problem skin.

Thoroughly cleanses the skin and controls its oiliness thanks to two types of clay and thermal water. The manufacturer also made sure that the skin does not experience discomfort either during or after use. But it is important to remember that any clay mask should not be overexposed.

Natural anti-aging mask

Action: renews, moisturizes and smoothes the skin.

Ingredients:

How to prepare and use:

  1. 1

    peel and mash the avocado, mix with the rest of the ingredients;

  2. 2

    Apply on face for 20 minutes, rinse with warm water;

  3. 3

    Finally, rinse your face with cool water.

Editorial opinion. Obviously, the mask has excellent goals - yogurt exfoliates old cells, avocado and olive oils nourish, honey moisturizes. The mask will bring some benefit, albeit minimal. But the question of effectiveness and safety remains open, as is always the case when it comes to homemade products.

It consists of two parts and is soaked in oils of copai resin, prakaxi, andiroba, which you may not have heard of. Thanks to the hydrogel base, it will improve the appearance of the skin in 10 minutes, smoothing the epidermis and “sealing” moisture in the cells.

Mask for oily skin

Action: cleanses pores and exfoliates dead cells.

Ingredients:

    1–2 tbsp. l. yogurt;

    1 tbsp. l. chickpea (or oatmeal) flour;

    1 tbsp. l. honey (optional).

How to prepare and use:

  1. 1

    mix all ingredients;

  2. 2

    Apply an even layer to the face, rinse after 15 minutes.

Editorial opinion. The fermented milk product stimulates cell renewal, and the flour acts as a thickener for the mask and an abrasive for the skin. In general, everything is clear with this recipe. Not bad, but boring. Is it time to try something new?

White (soft) clay cleanses the pores, and exfoliates diatom particles. Thermal plankton extract is responsible for strengthening the epidermis. That is, this mask has everything you need to care for oily skin. Plus the pleasure of use and joy from the result.

Mask for dry skin

Action: combines light exfoliation and skin nourishment.

Ingredients:

    1 tsp. coconut oil;

    1 tsp. sour cream;

    ¼ tsp. cocoa powder

All ingredients should be at room temperature.

How to prepare and use:

  1. 1

    mix until smooth;

  2. 2

    Apply to neck and face, including the area around the eyes;

  3. 3

    leave for a maximum of 20 minutes.

Editorial opinion. It seems that the mask has everything that dry skin needs: gentle exfoliation due to lactic acid, exfoliating cocoa powder, and coconut oil, which nourishes the skin and restores its protective barrier. But even this relatively original mask is far from ready-made products from professional “chefs.” And this is quite natural.

Sugar nourishing facial scrub, L'Oréal Paris- a great way to exfoliate the skin and nourish it at the same time. Contains three types of sugar (brown, yellow, white), cocoa butter and coconut. Can you imagine how delicious this scrub smells? And the skin after using it becomes velvety.

Mask for combination skin

Action: cleanses and moisturizes the skin at the same time.

Ingredients:

    1 tbsp. l. rose petals;

    20 ml mineral water;

    1 tbsp. l. oatmeal

How to prepare and use:

  1. 1

    soak rose petals in mineral water for 30 minutes, then mix with flour;

  2. 2

    apply to face for 30 minutes.

Editorial opinion. Rose water based on petals softens the skin, and oatmeal absorbs sebum, softens and works as a delicate scrub. You can try, no doubt. There will be no harm from this mask. But the effectiveness is questionable. There is definitely no comparison with ready-made cosmetic masks based on flower water and plant extracts.

Based on rose water and peony extract, it refreshes. Cocoa extract and niacinamide (responsible for the synthesis of lipids in the skin) immediately reduce the feeling of discomfort, dryness, intensively moisturize the skin, make it smooth and soft. Can be used as daily night care. - here's our favorite aloe vera with a modern twist: its extract is combined with licorice to soothe the skin, while mineralizing thermal water restores the skin barrier.

Natural mask for the skin around the eyes

Action: refreshes the skin, relieves puffiness, eliminates signs of fatigue.

Ingredients:

    ½ cup of brewed green tea;

    1–2 tsp. olive oil;

    ½ cucumber (grated).

How to prepare and use:
  1. 1

    add olive oil and cucumber to the cooled tea;

  2. 2

    cut cotton pads in half;

  3. 3

    put into the prepared liquid;

  4. 4

    squeeze slightly;

  5. 5

    put the discs on foil and put them in the refrigerator for half an hour;

  6. 6

    apply patches under the eyes for 20 minutes.

Editorial opinion. This recipe is good because it allows for substitutions - instead of tea, you can use a decoction of herbs, and replace the cucumber, for example, with honey. It will come in handy if you don’t have real patches created by professionals in your arsenal. But there is no need to talk about a serious effect.

It is made not from cotton wool, but from a high-tech material impregnated with a concentrated serum. In 10 minutes, the patches give the skin radiance, smooth it out and, with regular use, noticeably reduce bags under the eyes.

Fabric masks have filled all the stores. Each has intriguing slogans, each amazes with promises and expected results. But do we know everything about what these masks are impregnated with? What if you try to make such a mask yourself???

Of course, we won’t cut out holes for the eyes and nose from the napkin, but will go to the nearest Fix Price for the coveted bag!

I have wanted masks like this for a long time, but the wait and the large shipment from Aliexpress depressed me, and the masks that could be bought cost more than 300 rubles for 12 pieces. I really didn’t want to pay so much money for a paper rag.

So you can understand my joy when I found out about them! I often monitor the store’s website, since not everything that is there may be available to us. Well, or once it finds itself, it may lie in the far corner, which you won’t even look at. So I purposefully visited the store in search of these masks, which were still missing, I was looking for them in the hidden corners of the shelves... And then I saw the treasured bag lying lonely at the checkout, and without hesitation, I grabbed it, even though it was for me seemed strange: without a price tag and as if sealed with tape. =D

Why did I pay attention to the price tag? And to the fact that they cost 55 rubles, instead of the standard 49.

Each mask is packaged in an individual bag, and these 20 pieces in a pink-girl-colored bag with adhesive tape on the back. Even the damage to the overall bag did not affect their number, there are indeed 20 of them! Well, after one opening and closing the overall bag immediately tore. It’s so good that the masks are individually packaged!

So, on the back of the bag we see the method of application.

On the front side of the bag it is indicated that the mask consists of 100% viscose, but the composition itself states:

Compound: non-woven material.

Shelf-life Unlimited.

The mask itself is presented in the form of a compressed tablet, 2 cm in diameter. Such a tiny one.

You can impregnate the mask using various means:

- tonic, lotion;

- serum;

- a special concentrate (for example, can be found from the Premium brand);

- hydrolate;

- decoction of herbs;

- aloe gel;

- juice, fruit puree, etc.

And whatever your darling wants! =) You can vary the ingredients as much as you like, based on your existing problems and skin type.

Today we will soak our mask with tonic lotion.

When moisture gets in, the mask immediately begins to straighten out, the slide begins to grow =) It’s as if a mushroom is growing from the rain.

After this, the mask straightens out very easily.

The pattern of the mask is uncomfortable for me, it doesn’t fit on my face from all sides, even when I try to straighten it, there are still a lot of folds and excess fabric.

In addition to the fact that there are slits for the eyes, there are also pieces that are placed on the eyelids, which is the first time I have seen, although I have used ready-made masks from other manufacturers. There are also slits on the chin, like darts on clothing, to better fit the skin.

But we are all different, and this pattern will definitely suit someone perfectly! =)

But, despite the fact that it doesn’t fit me very well, this does not detract from its wonderful properties! When using this kind of mask, everything we impregnate it with has a much better effect on the skin, because we keep the composition on the face for up to 30 minutes. After the mask, the skin is always moisturized, soft, smooth, just a miracle!

I also tried making a mask with aloe gel with it. Due to the fact that the gel is not a liquid, the mask does not spread out so well, you need to make an effort to do this and first wait a little for the gel to saturate the mask. But I think this problem can be solved by first dripping some liquid onto the mask so that it spreads out better. And even with my ardent forceful straightening of the mask, it did not break, although I thought it would definitely break. With aloe gel, the mask generally turned out to be very relaxing: cool, soothing, tonic. The skin is perfectly moisturized and breathes!

These masks are simply a godsend for those who like to do their own thing, who like to experiment, because you can impregnate it with anything, and you will know the quality of what is impregnated!

This mask does not cause discomfort, it allows you to do your job, because the mask sticks well to the skin (well, unless you hang face down). The skin after this mask is always soft, moisturized, smooth and very pleasant! And such a low price is very pleasing!

And my next experiment will be with cucumber juice. =)

Masks based on mineral water have a very beneficial effect on the skin. Good mineral water has no fewer beneficial properties than thermal water, but mineral water is much more affordable and can be bought in any store.

Masks with mineral water rejuvenate the skin, making it firmer and more elastic, improve the color and tone of the face, saturate it with moisture and all the beneficial substances contained in mineral water.

Mineral water replaces thermal water, which is used in beauty salons and which is very expensive. That’s why we will use a “mineral bowl” to prepare our homemade masks.

How to choose and prepare mineral water correctly

When choosing mineral water, you should focus on the skin type you have.
If you have oily or combination skin, then mineral water with a high content of mineral salts (from 500 mg/l) is suitable for you. As part of the mask, this water helps to narrow the pores on the skin, dries it, and normalizes the functioning of the sebaceous glands.

If you have normal or dry skin, then water with a low content of mineral salts (up to 500 mg/l) is ideal for you. It perfectly tones and nourishes the skin.

Since mineral water is produced saturated with carbon dioxide, before using it as the main component for preparing a face mask, the water should be left open in order to get rid of the gas. Carbon dioxide has a negative effect on the skin, drying and irritating it.

In order to prepare this mask, you need to combine honey and glycerin in a 1:1 ratio, and mineral water and oatmeal in a 2:1 ratio. Apply the prepared mixture for 20 minutes on a clean face. You need to remove the mask by washing with heated mineral water.

Mineral water mask for normal skin

The prepared mask should be applied to the face for 15 minutes. The mask is washed off with mineral water from the refrigerator.

The recipe for this mask is quite easy and consists of 50 milliliters of mineral water and two teaspoons of natural honey. The contents are mixed and applied for 10 minutes to the skin of the face. The mask is washed off with chilled mineral water.

To achieve the desired result and rejuvenate your facial skin, this mask should be done 3 times a week for one month.
Preparing the mask should begin by diluting 50 grams of fresh baker's yeast in warm water. Then add 1 teaspoon of flour and one teaspoon of sugar. We dilute the resulting slurry with one glass of mineral water and place the mixture in a warm place for fermentation. The fermentation process takes approximately three hours. After this time, the mask is completely ready for use. The mask is applied to the skin for 20 minutes, after which it is washed off with mineral water. After completing the procedure, it is advisable to apply a cream with nourishing properties to the skin.

This mask can not only whiten the skin, but make it soft and pleasant to the touch. The mask is intended for normal and oily skin types.

To prepare a mask, mix 2 drops of lemon essential oil, 7 drops of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of oatmeal, a pinch of salt and 50 ml of mineral water. Before applying the mask, the skin should be cleansed. The procedure lasts 10 minutes. You need to wash off the mask with chilled mineral water.

An express mask is a life-saving procedure when you need to achieve a brilliant, charming look in a very short time. The effect of the mask is amazing: in a short time the skin becomes elastic, refreshed, and the complexion improves right before your eyes. But this express mask also has a negative side: it does not last long - only about 10 hours.

An express mask is more like a compress, since this procedure requires the use of two towels and two vessels with cold and hot mineral water. Before each change of towel, nourishing cream should be applied to the skin. Towels are applied to the face one by one, repeating up to 6 times.

Video bun for today.
