Even the most daring dyeing and coloring is ideal for an asymmetrical haircut. All you need for styling is a straightening iron and a hairdryer.

Haircut in layers

A wonderful solution for those with thin, not too thick hair. It will add lightness to heavy, quickly oily hair and help disguise split ends. All hair is divided into a horizontal parting, and the upper or lower part is cut in the shape of a cap to the middle of the ear or just above the cheekbones. The length of the remaining strands is aligned with the earlobe or jawline. Another option is possible - the lower strands are cut with a “ladder”, the outer strands are milled or graded.

On a leg

An option for extravagant people. The haircut is ultra-short and completely opens the back of the head. The hair is also cut in layers. The lower strands are shortened almost to zero, and the upper ones are cut as for a regular “hat”. It is the lower strands that resemble the “leg” on which the larger part of the haircut rests. The front of the hairstyle may look different. Most often, chin-length strands are used to cover the cheeks, or thick straight or asymmetrical bangs are cut to the eyebrows or even lower from the very top of the head.

"Cap"-bob

The rounded shape, clear configuration and smooth lines characteristic of the “cap” are retained, but elongated and slightly pointed strands of hair are added in front (length from the middle of the cheek to the chin).

Haircut technology

The technique of doing a cap haircut is quite simple. Of course, you most likely won’t be able to cut your own hair, but with the help of a friend it’s quite possible.
First, comb your hair thoroughly from the crown to the ends. Then separate the strands in the temple area. Make a horizontal parting from ear to ear. Pin up what remains on top. Run the comb from your temples to your ear to separate the bottom strands in half.

Cut the strand at the temple to the desired length straight or obliquely. You can close half the ear or open it completely. Use this strand as a guide in the future, aligning the ends of your hair along it. Vertical thinning is desirable to make the haircut configuration look more natural.

Next they move to the back of the head. The hair is divided in half with another horizontal parting, the upper part is pinned. Starting from the left or right edge, separate small strands and cut them by pinching them with two fingers. Check the length all the time to ensure the back of your head is even. Then, if desired, this line can be decorated with “teeth”. Pinned hair is cut in the same way, but here the strands will be slightly longer. Vertical thinning is also desirable.
The hair on the crown is combed to the right and left with a vertical parting. Both sides are cut at the same time and in a circular direction from the forehead to the middle of the back of the head. To control the length of the side strands, periodically comb them over your face. Don't forget about vertical thinning.
Lastly, the bangs are cut to the desired length and thickness, and minor irregularities are corrected.

Laying

A “hat” is, of course, stylish and elegant, but many women do not decide on this option, fearing styling problems that are typical for most short haircuts. What a master does in a salon is then almost impossible to repeat at home.

But it's not all that scary. If this is the only argument against, feel free to go to the hairdresser. All you need for styling is a hair dryer with a round attachment and a straightening iron.

Blow-dry your hair, lifting it at the roots with a comb or leaning forward so that the strands fall on your face. Direct the air stream towards the top of your head.
Then smooth out individual stray strands that do not lie in the desired direction and smooth out light waves on your hair with irons.
