Many representatives of the fair sex who are fond of needlework have crocheted items in their wardrobe. Especially favorite are summer blouses, which are ideal for wearing with trousers, shorts, and skirts. When knitting summer blouses, preference is given mainly to openwork options.

You can create such beauty with your own hands. It takes a minimum of time, but is very pleasing with the result. If you decide to learn how to crochet things yourself, then don’t stop there and take on more than just simple projects. After all, only those things that use many elements look beautiful.

What tools and threads are suitable for crocheting summer wardrobe items?

Before buying yarn, you need to decide what kind of things you want to make - shawls or capes, or maybe jackets or cardigans, tops or T-shirts? Natural material is not suitable for all types of products; it can stretch or shrink after washing. This point should always be taken into account before starting work, since it will be a pity for the time spent if the item is not worn with pleasure later.

Natural threads for crochet are:

  • linen - always the same color - straw, since this material does not absorb paint; they fit into the pattern very well, the products dry quickly after washing;
  • cotton - have a variety of colors, take a long time to dry and can shrink in size;
  • woolen - require some care.

Experienced craftswomen still choose artificial yarn for their work - polyester or acrylic. These threads do not deform, after washing they retain the shape of the products and do not cause allergic reactions on the body.

When working with crochet, the moment of choosing its number is very important. The larger the diameter of the knitting tool, the larger the fabric, and vice versa. To make summer blouses, choose medium numbers of crochet hooks. Much attention is paid not only to the type of tool, but also to the comfort of its use. For work, you can use both metal and plastic hooks; there are also wooden or combined ones, when the handle and the tip itself are made of different materials. It is best to choose a solid tool, then there is a guarantee that it will not break.

You also need to know that each hook number means a certain thread thickness.

How to crochet an openwork top?

Many models can be completed independently. The most common summer wardrobe item is the top. Crocheting summer blouses, patterns and descriptions of which will be given below, must be done from artificial yarn.

This version of the top looks very impressive.

It goes well with any thing. Its simplicity and airiness make the look festive and fresh. This top can be tied with straps or a piping for the neck, which is very fashionable now. This option is also interesting because of the lacing on the back, which is made of ordinary air loops.

Craftswomen begin knitting all openwork blouse-tops from the bodice. When it is ready, it is turned upside down and the work is done downward in a beautiful openwork pattern.

If a cutout is not required on the back, then the ornament is laid out in a circle. If you do the work as shown in the photo, then a certain part is knitted with knit and purl rows, and only from the bottom they switch to circular execution.

This original top will replace festive summer blouses and will be an excellent accessory to wear in hot weather.

Knitting pattern for a summer blouse from individual fragments

Despite the variety of beautiful patterns, many craftswomen prefer to create unique items of clothing using a method such as combining various elements. This is the kind of summer blouse you can make using crochet motifs.

This is a fashionable tunic that can only take two days to complete. Polyester threads are suitable for knitting this option.

This model consists of various fragments that are connected to each other by a random grid of air loops. The main motifs of the upper part of the product are samples of the first, second and third schemes - two flowers and petals.

The work of making this tunic begins with drawing and cutting out the pattern to your size. Next, three main motifs are knitted, laid out on the pattern and connected to each other. When the top part is ready, continue knitting in the circle with a pattern according to the fourth pattern and finish this fabric in one row, as shown in pattern five.

Long sleeve option

Crocheting summer blouses, the patterns and descriptions of which are given above, is used to create light items that can be worn in hot weather. But summer is not only sun and heat, but also rain and cool evenings. Openwork blouses with long sleeves are perfect for this kind of weather.

This interesting and attractive pattern can be made according to the diagram below.

Knitting is very exciting. The patterns and description of this option can be used not only to create such a cute piece of clothing, but also capes, shawls, and skirts.

Knitting of this blouse begins from the bottom up by alternately performing individual motifs and connecting them as the work progresses, laying out an interesting pattern.

Double crochets and air loops are used to finish the bottom, and arches made of air loops are used for the neck.

Beautiful "American" with a cutout on the back, diagram

This original crocheted summer blouse looks very elegant.

The implementation of such a model begins with the creation of a beautiful, large-diameter round napkin, which, after adding the necessary elements from ordinary columns and air loops - the neck and back, is transformed into such a wonderful “American” modern style.

Light jacket-cape, diagram

Summer ones can look like this.

This is something between a sweater, a cape and a summer jacket. This pattern is made by collecting square, rectangular and triangular motifs. The work fits clearly according to the given patterns.

Sample summer bolero for obese women

Not only slender female representatives want to be beautiful, for whom both tops and tunics are ideal. The ideal option for curvy women is the bolero.

This summer crochet blouse for overweight ladies can easily hide not too slender shoulders, add originality to the look and serve as an elegant addition as a comfortable cape.

This item can be knitted from thin threads, as well as from thick ones. The work consists of making a large openwork circle with armholes. You can take any openwork pattern of a regular napkin as a basis. It turns out very impressive, practical and fashionable. And most importantly, it requires a minimum of time to complete.

Crocheted blouse for summer for girls

Well, how can you ignore little fashionistas? Summer crochet like this is crocheted “at the speed of the wind”.

For those who are too young, this item can serve as a dress, and for older girls, it can serve as a tunic with a flared bottom.

Knitting this model starts from the neck - an openwork circle is made with any acceptable pattern of such a width that, by folding it in half and putting it on the neck, you can easily connect the fabric into the armpit and thus create armholes. Next, the knitting continues down the circle, without touching the left edges for the sleeves. To flare the fabric, you need to gradually add loops every ten rows of knitting the pattern. The more increases, the more airy the product. The bottom is trimmed with edging.

And a few more ideas

Knitting has a lot of options. The patterns and descriptions given in this article are not the limit of the imagination of those who like to create incredible beauty with their own hands.

Summer blouses can also be made by sewing two openwork knitted circles and adding straps to them. An original top can also be made from a knitted triangular scarf. Creative works are made from two rhombuses.

Fashion never goes away because they are individual. It is almost impossible to find identical handmade products. Each craftswoman adds an individual twist to her product. Some people like to work with materials of different textures, while others like to combine the color shades of yarn.

How to crochet a summer dress: a detailed diagram for beginners

In summer, the most popular outfit is a dress. We offer you this delightful option to knit with your own hands. This dress can be worn to the beach, to a party, or just for a walk along the warm coast.

Prepare everything you need for work:

  • 450 g of yarn (the composition can be 70% cotton to 30% polyamide);
  • hooks size 3.5; 4; and 4.5.

Pattern We will knit according to pattern No. 1. We start with the loops that are before the rapport and repeat the repeat loops. At the end we knit the loops that come after the rapport.

We knit the mesh according to pattern No. 2. Repeat knitting the first and second rows.

We determine the knitting density as follows::

  • pattern (let's call it “shells”) 19, 5 loops and 7 rows with crochet number 3.5 – (10 x 10 cm);
  • “shells” - we knit 14 loops and 6 rows with crochet number 4.5;
  • mesh - 19 loops and 11 rows crochet number 3.5.

Front of the dress(its lower area) is knitted from top to bottom, bevels on the sides will be formed due to the different thickness of the hook. The upper part of the dress is knitted from the bottom up. Pay attention to the location of the arrows on the pattern.

The lower part of the dress along the back is crocheted No. 3.5. We make a chain consisting of 85 air loops and knit a pattern. After we get 23 cm of knitting, we switch to hook No. 4, and after 50 cm we take hook No. 4.5. After we knit 62 cm, we finish work 5 rows according to the pattern.

Upper part of the dress along the back: We knit the upper edge with a hook No. 3.5 cm, casting 86 loops. And then we knit with a mesh. When we knit 5 cm, leave armholes on both sides for the sleeves (9 cm). Having knitted 19 cm, we leave 40 loops in the middle for the neckline. And on the sides we knit a 3 cm mesh. Let's finish the job.

Bottom and top of dress in front. We knit in the same way as the back, but we knit the upper part of the front 11 cm, and then we close 40 loops in the middle, and we knit 11 cm on the sides.

Sleeves. Take a 3.5 cm hook and cast on a chain of 50 loops. We knit 1 row with a single crochet. After this we knit with a mesh. To form bevels, add one loop on each side 3 times per row. Then add loops in each row. We knit 15 cm and finish the job.

Assembling the product. Sew along the shoulder line. We tie the neckline with a hook No. 3.5 using a connecting post (1 row). We sew the product along the sleeve line and on the sides.

Tunisian knitting has many names - Afghan weaving, Victorian knitting, tunnel technique. This method of knitting has been known since ancient times, however, only a few knitters can boast of skills in this technique. This is because knitting with Tunisian motifs is not as popular among needlewomen as, for example, the fillet technique, Irish typesetting or ribbon lace.

Sometimes, luxurious women, whose shapes have crossed the XL size line, find it difficult to choose the desired wardrobe item that suits all their requirements for femininity and visual attractiveness. So, in addition to an attractive design, clothing should visually refine the female silhouette, while simultaneously hiding minor figure imperfections.

The tunic is that item of women’s wardrobe whose relevance will never be lost. In short, a tunic is an elongated blouse, usually reaching mid-thigh. Its main secret is a loose cut, thanks to which the advantages of the figure are emphasized, and minor flaws, on the contrary, are neatly hidden.

The “fillet” technique has gained unprecedented popularity among needlewomen, not only in terms of creating interior decor items (decorative napkins, tablecloths, window curtains), but also as a basis for knitting exquisite clothing models - sweaters, boleros, tunics, cardigans.

Competition entry No. 23 – Bolero jacket made from motifs

I love handicrafts. Things made with your own hands have a special energy. You wear them with special pleasure. Such a thing always has its own story - it is not just a wardrobe item.
I spied the design of such a sweater from one model of the rather expensive Desigual brand.

Jacket-bolero

Knitted from 100% cotton. (I took about 10 skeins)
Hook No. 2.5

Approximately 52 hexagonal shaped motifs were used in the work.

The main part of this sweater is crocheted, and the elastic band along the edges of the sleeves and bottom is knitted. A simple pattern made with a hook successfully combines several colors of yarn, a small stand-up collar emphasizes the individuality of the model.
