For removing makeup at home. Removing makeup using folk remedies

Hello everyone! By nature, I have combination skin and its condition changes depending on the time of year. In summer it is oily, and in winter it is dry. Therefore, in the cold months, I try to take the selection of cosmetics especially seriously. I mainly buy products without aggressive additives, with natural ingredients. But you know, even though the label will contain the most natural and eco-friendly ingredients, they still may not suit your skin. This happened to me too. A month ago I bought makeup remover. Everything seems to be fine, it washes off well, does not remain on the skin after washing, the composition is excellent. But it’s impossible to dry out your face. And this is just not what I need. So, I decided to make my own makeup remover.

What I liked about my homemade remedy. Well, first of all, it does its job well. Secondly, it’s easy and simple to do in 5 minutes. Thirdly, it costs much less than any other natural remedy. Fourthly, it is convenient to use. Fifthly, it does not dry out the skin, but nourishes and makes the face fresh and moisturized. Sixth, the solution can be used for regular facial cleansing without makeup.

There are many advantages. The recipe works 100 percent for me. BUT! This doesn't mean your skin will love the product. If you decide to make it at home, make it in small quantities so you can test it. In case of failure, it will be a pity for the spoiled valuable ingredients. I gave my girlfriends a jar each. Of the five, one did not use the facial cleanser. According to her, after use there were greasy marks and an unpleasant sensation on the skin. By the way, I don’t experience this, but on the contrary, all the fat seems to dissolve.

Using cotton pads soaked in homemade milk, which is exactly the consistency I get, I remove mascara, foundation and lipstick. It copes with all difficulties (in moderation). I’ve been cleansing my face for two weeks now and am quite pleased with the results. I didn’t come up with the recipe, but I modified it a little for myself, so watch and learn.

How to make your own homemade makeup remover

I take the following ingredients:

  • half a glass of clean water (bottled or boiled from the tap)
  • 2 tablespoons unrefined coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of a weak solution of apple cider vinegar or mix 1 tablespoon of water with lemon juice
  • essential oils
  • cotton pads

From your inventory you will need:

  • jar or container with lid
  • spoon

First we have to mix all the ingredients. To do this, pour water into a clean glass and heat it to 40-50 degrees. Add coconut oil there. A warm environment will easily melt it. Combine this solution with lemon juice, after squeezing it from the fruit. Never use store-bought granular acid.

If desired, you can add a few drops of essential oil. I prefer , or .

The next step is to beat everything well. If you have a mini mixer, great, use it. If not, then stir the mixture vigorously with a fork, as I usually do.

Place the required number of cotton pads in a jar or container and fill them with the resulting solution. The consistency reminds me of milk, although somewhat runny. Allow the discs to soak for about 2-3 hours. Afterwards, you can use it.

One more nuance, I’m not a fan of putting on a lot of makeup. Mostly my makeup is light, and my eyelashes are painted in one or two layers. Therefore, I can only be responsible for the effectiveness of recipes from this aspect. But if you are a fan of multi-layered application of cosmetics, I’m afraid my recipe will not suit you. It will be necessary to combine the use of a home remedy with a more effective one.

In conclusion, I want to say a few words about the composition. Why do I prefer this one over the other?

  • Coconut oil is my favorite. It has a great tropical scent. In addition, the ingredient is light enough for the skin and has an antibacterial effect.
  • Apple cider vinegar also kills bacteria and relieves existing inflammation. Those who suffer from acne breakouts are advised to make a toner at home, recipe.
  • Lemon juice, if you choose it as an additional ingredient, perfectly evens out your complexion.
  • It is not necessary to add essential oil, but it is advisable. Which one to use depends on what you want to achieve. Read the article.

I hope you liked today's post, if so, be sure to share the information with your friends. Write in the comments what you use to remove makeup and cleanse your face. Perhaps you have your own homemade cosmetics recipes. Share, don't be greedy!)))

See you soon! Bye bye!

Removing eye makeup requires the most careful approach. This is due to the fact that the skin around the eyes is the thinnest and most sensitive, and most mascaras are quite persistent and it is not very easy to clean the eyelashes without getting smudged circles.

  • The simplest option for removing eye makeup is to use regular Vaseline for this purpose. It should be applied to the eyelashes and then carefully removed using a cotton pad or napkin.
  • Also, any basic cosmetic oil or regular olive oil is perfect for removing eye makeup. Apply it to a cotton swab and gently wipe the skin; for convenience, the swab can be pre-moistened. Almond oil will slow down aging and protect from ultraviolet radiation, peach oil will give elasticity to the skin, castor oil will strengthen eyelashes.
  • A simple two-phase product will not only remove makeup, but also get rid of swelling and improve the condition of the skin, as well as accelerate the growth of eyelashes. To prepare it you will need: Castor oil and grape seed oil and simple non-carbonated mineral water. Mix the oils in equal proportions and add half a glass of mineral water to them, shake before use. In a tightly sealed container, this product can be stored for about 1 month.
  • For those with sensitive eyes and delicate skin, a product based on children's cosmetics is perfect. To prepare it, take tear-free baby shampoo, baby oil and a glass of water. Dilute the shampoo with water in a ratio of 1:4 and add 10 drops of oil, shake several times before use.
  • The following remedy will help speed up eyelash growth and relieve eye fatigue. To prepare it you will need 1 part castor oil, 10 parts sweet almond oil, 2 parts each of cornflower and chamomile infusion. Mix all the ingredients in a glass or porcelain container and seal tightly - this way it can be stored for about a month. However, this product is not suitable for those who wear contact lenses.

Makeup remover oil for dry skin

For those with dry and normal skin, various oils are perfect for makeup removal. They will not only carefully clean it, but also add elasticity, provide additional nutrition, slow down aging and protect from ultraviolet radiation. It is recommended to use makeup remover oil as follows:

    Take a thin cloth and apply the selected oil to it, evenly distributing it over all areas;

    Apply the napkin to your face for about half a minute, then lightly massage the skin;

    Remove the napkin, add a little more oil to it and apply it to your eyes for about 1 minute;

    Carefully remove makeup from eyelashes and skin around the eyes;

    Then take a highly absorbent cloth towel, soak it in hot water and place it on your face for half a minute;

    Wipe your face along the massage lines, removing any remaining oil (repeat these two steps until the skin is completely clean);

Rinse your face with cool water.

To remove makeup, you can use any cosmetic oils, as well as ordinary olive and sunflower oils, but of the latter it is better to use only those that have undergone maximum purification.

You can also prepare various mixtures for removing makeup by adding a few drops of ether to the base oils or mixing the latter in different proportions. Such products should be selected based on the individual characteristics of the skin. Below are some simple and most popular recipes:

A mixture of castor oil and grape seed oil taken in equal proportions.

A mixture of olive and rapeseed oils in a ratio of 1:2.

A mixture of olive and almond oil in a 4:3 ratio with the addition of vitamin E.

A mixture of jojoba oil and aloe juice in a 1:2 ratio.

Peach oil and mineral water in a ratio of 1:5.

Makeup remover for oily skin

For those whose skin is characterized by increased production of sebum, and is also prone to irritation and acne, use makeup remover oils only with great caution. But in addition to oils, there are a number of folk recipes based on different types of milk and herbal decoctions. They are best suited for removing makeup from problem skin.

The only drawback of such products is the relatively short shelf life compared to oil mixtures (no more than a week).

  • A product with cognac and lemon juice will perfectly remove makeup. To prepare it, you will need: a glass of heavy cream, an egg yolk, a tablespoon of cognac and three lemon juice. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until smooth; store the finished product in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container.
  • A milk decoction of string and chamomile will moisturize and soothe the skin, and also relieve irritation. To prepare, take dried string and chamomile in equal proportions, based on the calculation - 1 teaspoon per glass of milk. Boil the milk and pour it over the prepared herbal mixture, leave to steep until it cools to room temperature.
  • Homemade cucumber milk will help to gently cleanse acne-prone skin. For it you will need one small cucumber and ½ glass of milk. Boil the crushed cucumber in milk for about 10 minutes, then wait until it cools completely and the product is ready for use.
  • A green tea-based makeup remover will help dry out inflammation and normalize sebum production. To prepare it, make a strong tea brew and mix it with rice milk in a 2:1 ratio.
  • A product made from banana and rice milk will not only remove makeup, but also nourish the skin and make it smooth. To prepare it, mash 1 banana, add 1 tablespoon of rice milk to it and stir until smooth. The resulting mixture should be applied to the face in an even layer for 10 minutes, then rinsed with water.

Natural makeup removers will carefully and delicately cleanse the skin, and most importantly, they can be prepared at any time from the products on hand. All you have to do is choose the recipe that suits you.

Our grandmothers love to tell stories about how young beauties used to do without makeup, and looked no worse than modern youth, and maybe even many times better.

They smeared their faces with sour cream, rinsed their hair with nettle infusion and they didn’t have any problems. So why do we now use a huge amount of cosmetics and yet 70% of the population is treated for various manifestations of allergies.

Creams, lotions, masks - we can prepare all this ourselves at home. Fortunately, there are plenty of folk recipes for all occasions. But we are unlikely to be able to do makeup with home remedies. But still, it is simply necessary to help our skin, after such an impact of professional cosmetics on our skin. And folk remedies for makeup removal, which must be used every evening, will come to the rescue.

An important element of facial skin care is makeup removal or makeup remover.

Proper makeup removal at home is not just about washing off a bright layer of “plaster” from your face before going to bed. This is a daily necessary procedure that should be done every evening, even if you did not use cosmetics at all today.

Remember that during the day, dust, traces of sweat, and sebum are released on our face. Therefore, we cannot do without this procedure.

Remove makeup correctly

It is very important to learn how to properly remove makeup at home. The simple “apply, rub and rinse” option does not work here. This can harm the skin of the face and stretch it. Therefore, remember that all movements should be very smooth and gentle. They should be performed only along massage lines: from the middle of the forehead to the temples, from the nose line to the temples, to the tragus and earlobes, from the middle of the chin to the earlobes.

Makeup removal sequence

The correct sequence for removing makeup from your face is as follows:

  1. remove lipstick
  2. remove makeup from the skin around the eyes
  3. clean the eyelids
  4. removing mascara from eyelashes
  5. wash ourselves
  6. apply night cream

Removing makeup from lips

Lipstick should be removed with a special product. Apply it to a cotton pad. It is necessary to fix the skin of the corners of the mouth, slightly stretching them with the thumb and forefinger. Then, with the other hand, using the prepared disk, remove the lipstick, moving from one corner of the mouth to the other. We repeat the procedure on the other side.

Removing eye makeup

To remove eye shadow and eyeliner, place cotton pads soaked in your chosen makeup remover for 1-2 minutes. Lightly move the disc over the upper eyelid. You should move from the inner to the outer corner of the eye.
For the lower eyelid, move the cotton pad from the outer corner of the eye to the inner.

Eyelash make-up remover

Using a fresh cotton pad with makeup remover, remove the mascara with smooth and careful movements. Move from the eyelash growth line to their tips. The procedure is carried out with eyes closed.

Removing makeup removers

Take a little more time and remove any remaining cleanser. Any such cosmetic product contains surfactants (surfactants), which should not be left on your face for a long time. Surfactants can cause bacterial growth and dehydration of facial skin. In some cases, a reaction with other cosmetics may occur, which does not exclude allergic reactions.

To wash off any remaining cleanser, use cotton pads, or better yet, disposable cloth towels folded several times. Therefore, it is recommended to moisten cotton pads or a soft towel with water and wipe your face moving along the massage lines.

Getting ready for bed

The final stage will be preparing your facial skin for bed. To do this, wipe your face with night cream, toner or serum, depending on your preference.

How to properly remove makeup

On the modern market you can find a considerable selection of cosmetics, including those for removing makeup from the face, eyes, and sometimes even the most universal products. Every time we see incomprehensible, unfamiliar products on store shelves, we become very puzzled, because what if the cosmetic product that we are planning to buy does not behave as stated by the manufacturer or does not live up to our hopes?

If you are tormented by doubts, then listen to these tips.
In general, modern production provides us with a choice of washing gels, cleansing foams, micellar waters, makeup remover lotions, etc. Now we will talk in more detail about each of these means.

Makeup removers

Cleansing gel as a makeup remover

When buying washing gels in stores, for some reason, girls often think that they can remove makeup, but they are not thinking about removing makeup from the face, but from the eyes.

STOP! This is a huge mistake. We cleanse our skin of impurities with this cleansing gel. , from makeup, but only from the face, in other words, we absolutely do not touch the skin around the eyes.

Why? The answer is simple. Such preparations have a fairly active chemical composition, which gives us a maximum drying effect, which can sometimes cause peeling on the facial skin of buyers of a particular product.

Now imagine what will happen if you apply such a gel to the skin around the eyes, which is many times thinner and more delicate than our entire facial skin. Often, when removing makeup from the eye area with a gel cleanser, you are not only guaranteed to dry out your skin and you will have to constantly use fatty creams, but you will also get wrinkles from such a product.

If suddenly one day you have nothing to remove your makeup, use any vegetable oil , in extreme cases, occasionally, for example, once every 2-3 months, depending on the situation, you can wash off your makeup with gel, but very carefully.

We advise you to take this seriously, because... It is sometimes quite difficult to find gentle cosmetics among washing gels. Therefore, if you still need a product that can remove makeup from your eyes and face, we advise you to take a closer look at the next candidate.

Cleansing milk

This product is more likely created for those with dry skin, because... dry skin needs hydration, it needs to avoid too “vigorous” products. The milk itself has a creamy structure and practically does not lather.

This cosmetic product, despite its composition, can be used for makeup removal, because Most cosmetic products (we're talking about milk) on the modern market contain a moisturizing structure and, after using such products, you will feel moisturized, even if you did not apply skin care creams after cleansing your skin.

You can use milk to remove makeup from your eyes, face, lips, neck, wherever you like. Our next candidate is more like the first.

Cleansing foams

This is a moot point, but still we We DO NOT recommend using facial cleansers and similar products as make-up removers for eyes and lips. . This is due to the fact that, like shower gels, foams tend to dry out the skin rather than moisturize it.

According to my friends, according to people I know and from my own experience, I can say that the products are quite forgiving. Even if they say they are for dry skin, they will be drying.

We have tried everything - from inexpensive to luxury (very expensive) products and, unfortunately, most of the cleansing foams are very drying to the skin. Thus, after a certain period of time of using them, they begin to dry out the skin of the face.

Micellar water for makeup removal

This is where the most interesting remedy is, because... Today, most women prefer this particular cosmetic product. The question is why? And the answer is quite simple - uniqueness and versatility.

Micellar water- this is a product that you can take on the road and use it to remove makeup from any part of your face, be it lips, eyes, face in general. I can note that micellar waters are indeed quite gentle. They will never cause you dryness and flaking, but it is worth noting that various sources write that there is no need to wash off micellar water.

Let's think together. By and large, micellar water contains a chemical composition that, after removing makeup, remains a kind of film on our face. And this is not very good, because... If you think about it better, we leave chemicals on the face that cleanse the skin, which means that leaving such a product on the face for a long time will not lead to anything good.

After all, this is the same as taking a cleansing gel and spreading it on your face instead of a moisturizer. Therefore, even if you are too lazy to wash off the micellar water with milk, foam, gel, etc. products from the face, we recommend rinsing it off with at least clean water. Afterwards, you can follow with a toner, or immediately apply a moisturizer.

Regular soap

STOP. Skin enemy number 1. Soap is an alkali and even for the oiliest skin it is not the best option for cleansing. As you know, soap can remove dust quite well, dry out acne, and other inflammations, but the skin becomes drier and, of course, peeling occurs.

To avoid this, you can, of course, remove makeup from your face with soap, of course special for the face, as I sometimes do, but please do not do this more often than 3-4 times every 1-1.5 weeks.

I’m interested in your opinion on how and with what to properly remove makeup at home? Share your secrets in the comments.

I was disappointed, girls. How much money we spend on personal care products! And it’s not so much about the remedy itself, but about the SEARCH for that very best, effective one.

About Me: age 30 years. The skin is normal, slightly prone to dryness. Makeup for every day - eyeliner and mascara.

****************************************************************************************************************************

Since I wear eye makeup all the time, a gentle eye makeup remover is my number one priority. All my life I have respected makeup remover milk. I tried the Clean Line, Garnier, and L'Oreal. I used to really like the clean line, but now it has deteriorated, in my opinion. I used Garnier for quite a long time, I was happy with it. Loreal milk was so disappointing that it prompted me to write a separate review.

I experimented with gels and foams for washing. But I have learned from my own experience that if the skin is prone to dryness, such products are contraindicated. All the gels, foams, and mousses for washing dried out my skin so much that even despite the cream, in the morning my skin was like parchment. It was scary to smile, it made everything feel tight and crow’s feet appeared around the eyes. Horror.

There were still natural oils left. But somehow things didn’t work out for me with them before. I took a lot of oil, it smeared my cosmetics and got into my eyes, forming a film. The feeling is not pleasant.

But I was still determined to make friends with him. And finally, I came across some practical advice on the Internet, how to CORRECTLY remove eye makeup with oil . Everything turned out to be very simple.

Lightly moisten a cotton pad with water and add a few drops of oil. Apply to eyelids for a few minutes. Then wash your face. Or, alternatively, apply a hot towel to your face. ALL!

****************************************************************************************************************************

I tried it and was incredibly happy that I had finally found my ideal eye makeup remover! The oil dissolves cosmetics well. There is no need to rub and stretch the delicate skin of the eyelids. Plus, the product is absolutely natural, without additives, and in itself is simply a storehouse of vitamins and minerals.

Almond oil. Has a nourishing, softening, moisturizing and smoothing effect. Increases skin elasticity.

Jojoba oil. Retains moisture and softens the skin well due to the formation of a thin protective film on its surface that does not disrupt natural metabolic processes. Has a regenerating, smoothing and antioxidant effect. Refreshes tired and sagging skin.

Grape seed oil. Moisturizes, refreshes tired and aging skin, has a smoothing and toning effect, tightens pores, eliminates inflammation. Penetrates the skin very well.

Wheat germ oil. Refreshes the complexion, has a regenerating, smoothing and antioxidant effect. Has natural sun protection properties.

Peach oil. Nourishes, moisturizes and regenerates the skin. Helps prevent dehydration, smoothes wrinkles and maintains firmness and elasticity of all skin types. This oil is especially useful for sensitive and/or inflamed skin.

Apricot oil. It has high biological activity and slows down the aging process. Has a regenerating, tonic effect. Helps increase elasticity. It is well absorbed and absorbed by the skin, providing nutrition to its deep layers.

Avocado oil. Softens and tones the skin, restores its elasticity and protective functions. Has natural sun protection properties. Penetrates deeply into the skin.

If you take a little oil, it does not get into your eyes and does not cause discomfort. The skin after it is soft and tender. Wrinkles are smoothed out.

To remove eye makeup I use almond oil from this company. This is cold pressed oil. High quality and effective.

P.S. I would like to add a little about a hot wet towel. After removing the cotton pads with oil, it is very good to make contrasting compresses. First, apply a hot wet towel to your face, the remaining makeup will be completely removed, then a cool compress. And so on several times. After this, the skin is perfectly clean, moisturized, and pleasant to the touch.

I WISH EVERYONE BEAUTY AND HEALTH!
